It is a eternal human striving , to better ourselves and keep abreast with the changing times. We keep a careful eye on the new trends ,fashion s and lifestyle of the rich and famous .Then, within our limited means ,we try and adopt new ways of talking , walking , dressing and even living . Things like mobile phones ,q two wheeler, trendy clothes , excessive pocket money and the latest accessories have become status symbol s . Today,one is judge d on what one has and the way one dresses .We look down on people who do not keep up with the latest trends ,classifying them as ordinary and consider them out worth mixing with.
In our urgency to be modern and have the best, we have forgotten many age old and timeless values of a healthy mind and a healthy body . In our striving for outward show ,we have forgotten the value of inner beauty . No status symbols can take the place of honest y , goodness , and politeness. A person with a good character is a good human being . Such a person can never hide his / her qualities , they always shine through . Such a person always stands out in the family and in society . He /she is admired and looked up to not for what they have,but for the qualities they possess. Such people are reliable and dependable and are much sought after everywhere .
So,it is important to remember ,that while outward show is necessary – a good character will always win in the end.
